Eastern European feminism is not an area that is easily accessed or explained to someone that has not been involved in the culture for a long period of time, especially when one is coming from a western feminist perspective. This becomes even more complicated when exploring feminism during communist Czechoslovakia because of the emphasis on human rights over gender equality. Of course, this does not mean that women were not working together. She was the Queen but with No Terror aims to preserve the stories of an older generation of women and explore the place of female relationships during periods of social oppression.
